Hello friends. This is a Let’s Play video of “Tenvader”. Tetris meets Space Invaders – Build your ship block by block while blasting alien swarms. Upgrade weapons, face evolving bosses, and survive the chaos across endless loops.
Born from a GMTK Game Jam entry and evolved into something far more ambitious, Tenvader answers a question nobody thought to ask: what if your spaceship in Space Invaders was something you had to physically construct out of Tetris blocks while aliens are actively trying to kill you? This roguelike arcade shooter fuses the spatial reasoning of block-stacking puzzles with the twitchy reflexes of a bullet hell shmup, demanding you think and build and dodge simultaneously in a way that feels unlike anything else in either genre. Every block you place on your ship isn’t just cosmetic – it alters your stats, unlocks weapons, and creates synergies that cascade through each escalating wave, while a ticking timer punishes slow decisions with cursed blocks that can sabotage your entire build. Survive long enough and the game starts breaking itself apart around you – time loops, mutating enemies, and a mysterious cosmic Overseer that watches and interferes as you push deeper into increasingly unhinged loops. With dozens of unique block types, evolving boss fights that gain new abilities across runs, and a cryptic lore thread woven through fragmented messages, Tenvader takes the two most iconic game concepts of the arcade era, collides them at full speed, and wraps the wreckage in a glitchy cosmic roguelike that gets its hooks in deep.
