Hello friends. This is a Let’s Play video of “Everything is Crab” playtest version. The Animal Evolution roguelite. Hunt, Flee, Scavenge & Thrive in a living ecosystem. Choose from over 100 mutations to evolve your creature in countless ways with every run. Adapt to survive the natural curve in order to beat carcinisation… or get Darwin’d trying!
Having logged thousands of hours across consoles and PCs-from the 8-bit era to today’s ray-traced open worlds-the moment I saw Everything is Crab: The Animal Evolution Roguelite (from Odd Dreams Digital) I was struck by its audacious mash-up of evolution simulation and roguelite grit. In a world where every creature eventually “crabs out” you scramble, scavenge, claw and mutate your way through a living ecosystem, selecting from over 100 real-life inspired mutations to forge bizarre chimera-creatures that feel as unpredictable as they are utterly yours. With a day/night cycle, multiple biomes, procedural runs, heavy survivability demands and patterns you must learn on each pass, the game captures both the wonder of evolution and the heartbeat of roguelite intensity. If you’ve ever wanted to feel like Darwin, R-rated for pixel art, and still laugh as you sprout extra legs for no reason, this is your petri dish.
