Hello friends. This is a Let’s Play video of “Furyball: Rogue Revenge” playtest version. Furyball is a fast paced action roguelite where your only weapon is a bouncing bullet ball. Control the chaos, shatter enemies, and survive sport themed arenas inspired by pinball and grindhouse cinema.
Somewhere in the back of every reviewer’s brain lives a dog-eared mental folder labelled “wait, was that ever made into a game?”, and Furyball: Rogue Revenge from French studio Rebound is rummaging through it with both hands. Pitched as the first ever “Rogue Beat’em Ball”, it is a top-down action roguelite in which your only weapon is a single bouncing bullet ball, hurled across pinball-inspired arenas in a sun-scorched 70s retrofuturist wasteland that walks straight out of Rollerball, Mad Max, and a Tarantino Grindhouse double-feature. You play an outsider from the Neo-Arcadia slums with one night to fight, ricochet, and synergise your way to the Furydome, modding your titular ball with stackable modules, burn, bleed, crush, shatter, while sport-gang bosses with their own gimmicks try to splatter you across the concrete. A discopunk soundtrack from The Toxic Avenger keeps the whole thing pulsing somewhere between an underground club and a B-movie credit roll. It is the kind of brazen, stylised throwback that hasn’t really had a serious modern champion since Roundguard, and it looks ready to claim the title.
