Hello friends. This is a Let’s Play video of “Bye Sweet Carole”. Bye Sweet Carole is a narrative-horror adventure game completely hand-drawn in the style of classic animated films. Follow the trail of missing Carole Simmons and uncover the dark secrets hidden behind her disappearance from Bunny Hall orphanage.
Anyone who spent their childhood alternately delighted and traumatised by classic Disney animation, the sinister queens, the shadowy forests, the strange debt every fairytale exacts before the credits, will recognise the artistic hunger driving Bye Sweet Carole from Chris Darril (of the Remothered survival-horror trilogy) and studio Little Sewing Machine. Released in October 2025 to a Mostly Positive reception and a stack of critic scores in the 8-to-9-out-of-10 range, this is a completely hand-drawn 2D narrative-horror adventure set in early 20th-century England, where young Lana Benton follows the disappearance of her friend Carole through the Bunny Hall orphanage and into the fantastical, sinister kingdom of Corolla, ruled by the ruthless owl Velenia and the menacing Mr. Kyn. The animation channels the warm-toned classical animation of the Disney golden age, then twists it into slow-burning survival horror layered with stealth, puzzle solving, and rabbit-transformation platforming while swarms of tar bunnies close in behind. A gorgeous Luca Balboni soundtrack, 34 achievements, and Deluxe Edition trimmings sweeten the deal, and Steam has already paired it into Haunted Heroines and Melancholy Farewells bundles alongside Cabernet and Until Then. For anyone still chasing the specific spine-tingle of Coraline crossed with Little Nightmares crossed with Cuphead, this is a rare treat.
