Hello friends. This is a Let’s Play video of “Midnight Saturn”. A grizzled private eye in a sci-fi adventure takes a murder case no one else will touch. He’s seen it all before, but nothing’s prepared him for a conspiracy that leads off-world. Something big is about to happen. Whatever it is… it goes live at midnight.
There’s a particular kind of comfort food waiting on the pixel-art adventure shelf for anyone who spent 1997 playing Westwood’s Blade Runner game with a mug of tea and a strategy guide, and Cosmic Void’s Midnight Saturn is angling for exactly that dinner reservation. Released May 5, 2026 for a friendly ten bucks and sitting on 81% Positive with a small but devoted review pool, this is a fully-voiced sci-fi noir point-and-click adventure in which grizzled PI Simm Gurnett takes the showbiz-lawyer murder case nobody else will touch, on the reasonable premise that the killer is rumoured to be very much not from Earth. Cue nighttime city exploration, colourful and alien locals, mediums who chat with the dead when the trail goes cold, sci-fi pixel-art vistas that would fit comfortably on a mid-90s CD-ROM sleeve, a Kojima-adjacent sense of noir humour, and the kind of classic-Sierra point-and-click puzzle craft the solo developer has been quietly perfecting across a small back catalogue. A free demo, a proper soundtrack DLC, Mac and Linux native support, and a Steam Deck-friendly footprint round out a very civilised package. For anyone who has been searching for the modern spiritual heir to Blade Runner (1997) and Snatcher, this is the point where you clear a Saturday evening.
